From Six till Twelve

Weekends usually bring thoughts of sleeping in late, casually meandering around the house all day and crawling into bed at the end. That was not the case for me last Saturday! Life began at six in the morning, too early for my brain to function completely but I  managed to survive somewhat. By seven I was in the car with four of my Judo friends, headed towards Sierre, in the southern French speaking part of Switzerland. What was so important down there that I would actually wake up that early on a Saturday for? Another Judo competition!!!

I went up against the same opponent as in Bellinzona, but this time did not go down that easily. I managed to stay in for forty-one seconds! I still lost but I was a proud loser. To boost my pride even more, I was able to have another fight with a different opponent, this time I lasted an entire minute and twenty-eight seconds! Such an improvement from my competition in Bellinzona!!! I headed back home feeling like a winner.

Arriving home, I had not a moment to spare, there was a concert in Holderbank and I needed to be there, especially since I was participating in it! Hurrying down town, I arrived to play, literally, two notes of warm up with my band before we entered onto the stage and began. Still giddy from the excitement of my "successful" turnier, my mind barely stayed on the notes. The concert just flew past and before I knew it, it was over.

Yet again, not a moment to relax, for that night was the final of the show "Britain's Got Talent." My dad picked Rebecca and I up and we headed to some friends house to watched the suspenseful, exciting end. We were elated to discover our favorite competitor, Diversity, won!

Happily satisfied, I finally crawled into bed at about twelve. What a day!!!
