Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I wish you all a very happy St. Patrick's Day! I know I am not Irish but I still enjoy celebrating this holiday in various small ways. Today most of my family wore something green, which wasn't hard for me to do since my favorite color is green; therefore, I have quite a selection of green things to choose from. For lunch we colored our food green with food coloring, green calzone looks a little strange but tastes just as good.

I would like to hear about what other people do special for this holiday, for those who celebrate it. Please leave a comment with your St. Patrick's Day traditions, or just what you have done this year. and may you all enjoy the rest of this fun holiday!

King Lear

As many of you may remember, my family has had pet guinea pigs for the last few years. Two years ago our last guinea pig, Katrina, died. We have not had any pets since though my sisters and I had asked often but my parents did not like the idea of having to take care of a Methuselah guinea pig while we leave for University and beyond. Recently, they suggested we get pet fish which do not have long lives. Just today Rebecca and I went to Qualipet and now I have my very own pet Beta fish, or Kämpfisch, whom I have named King Lear. I am very proud of him and am looking forward to showing him off to any unsuspecting visitor that may drop by :)
